Therapy for Veterans

Veterans Know Veterans

Veterans understand what each other goes through, and they know how difficult it is to explain what it’s like to be far from home and family, and there is no going home. It's hard to talk about what happened, what you went through, with just anyone.

This group of people, veterans, know you from a time in your life that is like nothing else, and they know you like no one else does, and they know the experiences you have been through all too well. While you are deployed, you create your military family who know and understand what you are going through, and then you go home to strangers.

You know that you must move forward but don’t know how to do that anymore.

Coming back home can be lonely and confusing for veterans; it is a different world.

You Are Not Alone

So many veterans have been through times of extreme emotions. Feelings of despair, confusion, guilt, and grief and loss are often experienced by many who have served. Loss of peers and companions can be overwhelming, and you don’t know where to turn to get some relief. You go through things that cannot be understood by someone who has not been through it.

Reaching out can be difficult as you are not sure who you can trust and whether you will be understood. You have come to the right place. Veterans know veterans. Being a veteran myself, I am dedicated to helping you find your way and realizing your new normal, one that allows you to be close to your loved ones again.

Imagine being totally present for your family, friends, and other people in your life. They are waiting for you to join with them and live your life fully, to connect with each other, and to enjoy the healthy lifestyle that you have worked so hard for.

Dr. Melissa Valentina, Military veteran therapist in Florida

I specialize in helping veterans suffering from grief and loss to heal their hearts and mend their lives. They learn to relax the mind, get motivated to connect with their true self, and become self-sufficient, inwardly directed, and to transition from surviving to thriving. My counseling clients come to realize how to honor themselves and live their truth in any situation.

You Owe It to Yourself to Live Your Life to Your Fullest Potential

Do not let these obstacles continue to block you from your potential. You are meant for so many things in this life. In order to honor yourself and live your truth, it is time to invest in yourself. Your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual lives all need nourishment to thrive. And when all these levels thrive, you are unstoppable, and you can be present for your loved ones and for yourself.

Thank you, Dr. Melissa :) I don't think you know how much I've progressed with you being here!
